Setting up a new blog in WordPress has been a hideous and hair-tearing experience.

I have spent ridiculous amounts of time and money trying to buy a package that suits my needs and a design that might suit my choices of words and pictures.  I have spent four days exploring new alleys – all of which turn out to be blind – and know that I’ll end up with an amateurish mess.

This is partly because I’m inept at design but mainly because the web-designs are so inflexible and so user-hostile.

If anyone asks me if it’s worth starting a blog, from now on, I will say NO.  Not if you want to keep your sanity and unless you want to endure hours of exasperation.

But enough of all that.  There’s a little nature.  The top picture is of an Indian House Crow Corvus splendens.   More about India later.

I hope you’ll come back for more soon.  To end, here’s a butterfly.

Oh forgot. I one has problems with say widgets and WordPress is as useless as they seem to be, I find a google search always gets one lots of helpful tutorials by enthusiastic people, sometimes even with videos on Youtube. I’ve definitely learned lots of things this way over the years about Photoshop and Lightroom.
